Dorchester County Water Authority

                                                                                           Proposed Operating Budget 

 Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the Board of Directors of the Dorchester County Water Authority at 5:30 pm on Monday the

 8th of June 2026.  The hearing will be held at the office of Dorchester County Water Authority, which is located at 967 Orangeburg Road, Summerville, SC.  The purpose of the public hearing will be to allow members of the public to express their views regarding the proposed operating budget for Dorchester County Water Authority for the fiscal year 2026-2027.  All people who attend the public hearing will be given an opportunity to speak.  As required by section 6-1-80, code of laws of South Carolina 1076, as amended, the public is advised of the following:

1.     The budget of Dorchester County Water Authority for the current fiscal year calls for revenues of                   $11,447,628 and expenditures of $11,447,628

2.     The proposed budget of Dorchester County Water Authority for the fiscal year 2026-2027 calls for revenues of $12,569,371 and expenditures of $12,569,371.

3.     The proposed revenues for the fiscal year 2026-2027 operating budget of Dorchester County Water Authority represent a 10% increase in revenues and expenditures from the operating budget for the current fiscal year.

4.     This notice is given in lieu of the requirement of section 4-9-130 of the code of laws of South Carolina.
